Hospic pro děti a mládež byl otevřen v roce 1998 jako první dětský hospic v Německu.

Hospic nabízí ambulantní a lůžková zařízení pro nevyléčitelně nemocné děti a dospívající, tak i pro jejich rodiče a sourozence.

V prostorách dětského hospice se nachází herna, hudební místnost a mnoho dalšího.

TUS Hilchenbach was found in 1865 and is one of the oldest sports club in the Siegerland.

The club offers a wide variety of activities for more than 800 members, such as table tennis,  fistball, volleyball, gymnastics, bodyshaping etc. To handle this large programm, 45 instructors support 30 different departments.  

Since 1983 the club is running the municipal bath. From May to September, families and friends are having bathing fun at this location.

Since autumn 2019 the Florenburg Elementary School has been involved in the “Class 2000” project. It is an open all-day primary school of the city of Hilchenbach and belongs to the area of ​​the school office of the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein. 208 pupils are taught by 16 teachers. In addition, the children are supported by two social pedagogues, a teacher for children with special needs and a school social worker. Besides the eight classrooms, there are adjacent rooms which are used as learning and work zones and include

• an auditorium with a music room
• a student library with 4 notebook workstations
• a research room for experiments
• a learning room with 8 I-Pads
• a computer room with 11 workstations
• a work and art space
• a medical room with combined consultation room for parents

The Florenburg elementary school is ideally suited for all-day operation: a further building includes a cafeteria, exercise room, creative room, lounge and a room for fourth graders only.
